Weekly Favorites

Happy Weekend! Finally the sun has arrived after all this terrible weather we’ve had.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the terrible tornadoes that took place in the South.  On a positive note, how excited is everyone on Prince William and Princess Kate’s wedding! It’s always so lovely seeing two people fall in love and get married.  Nothing quite beats that rush of adrenaline you feel on your wedding day (except perhaps having a baby)!  We especially loved how William gave Kate two kisses!  You could tell she was blushing but loved it.

So enough rambling and on to our Weekly Favorites to keep you inspired.   Enjoy and have a great weekend!  See you Monday. xoxo

Such a gorgeous table and the linens really make it over the top fabulous!

Of course who doesn’t crave a delicious maccaron!

A few centerpieces to consider.  The bright yellow is very much appropriate for spring and the eco-friendly branch one is perfect for a beach wedding.

Don’t you just adore wedding parasols! We do and think they make for pretty props too.

Now this is just pure sweetness!

Now on to a few unique things such as these seating cards for the Bride and Groom made from wood.   Then this cool idea of hanging these tissue like fluffy balls to decorate your ceiling.  (not sure what the proper term is for these) :)

Fabulous Fascinators and Hats of Kate Middleton

To officially honor princess Kate Middleton on her wedding day we thought it would only be appropriate to do a post dedicated  to the gorgeous bride! You have probably recognized all the fabulous fascinators and hats that compliment her long brunette hair.  Some rather intricate with feathery details while others more tame, can really make a statement.  The trend has even surged into weddings as many brides opt to go this route instead of a traditional veil.  Now that Kate has become a well recognized figure we wonder, will hair fascinators and hats go to even greater heights this year?  We shall see!

For now lets take a look back while we highlight some of Kate’s fabulous hair accessories. Enjoy!

*Stay tuned for our upcoming feature on bridal hair fascinators and possibly hats!

Wedding Gowns Inspired by Color

These days it seems as though colored wedding gowns have become the “new white”.   A few weeks back Bridal Market took place and we saw so many amazing colors emerge such as pink, gray, beige, light blue, and even lavender.  While white will always remain tradition, these new and fabulous lush colors have really seemed to excite the wedding world.   Even traditional brides seem ecstatic about adding a splash of color.

So do you think colored gowns are here to stay?  We sure hope so ! Plus,  who says we can’t reinvent tradition:)
