Some weddings are just too beautiful and sweet not to share with the world. Today’s wedding portrays just that and we are beyond excited to share with you all the intimate details! Gloria McCune of Grand Engagements worked her magic and created this gorgeous and glamorous all white wedding. The destination wedding took place at the popular venue Pelican Hill in Newport Beach. Guests were given the royalty treatment and spoiled from start to finish! As guests arrived everyone was given a welcome bag with the couples favorite snacks and goodies (how sweet)! Not only did we love that but we especially loved the unique and personalized details the couple incorporated to make the day even more sentimental. For example, the brides mom has always been a huge Beatles fan, so instead of choosing “Here Comes The Bride” she chose “Here Comes The Sun” by the Beatles. Pretty cleaver if you ask us!

 To sum it up, the day turned out to be perfect and dreamy in everyway imaginable. Afterall, isn’t that what weddings are all about.  See below for all the amazing pictures, a recap of the wedding told by the bride, and list of talented vendors who took part. Enjoy!

From the Bride:

I always knew I wanted a small destination wedding with a big WOW factor, so when we saw an ad for Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, CA, we both knew it was the perfect venue. I wanted everyone to attend as a guest (no wedding party) so they could all relax and enjoy every moment. I know it’s a lot to ask of people to travel for your wedding, so I wanted to keep the guest count low so we could spoil everyone who made the trip!

 I think the little, personalized details are what make each wedding unique, so I wanted to incorporate a few special touches in ours. My wedding coordinator, Gloria, helped us create welcome bags for everyone with our favorite snacks and goodies, including Starbucks gift cards! My mom has always been a huge Beatles fan, so I wanted to walk down the aisle to “here comes the sun” instead of “here comes the bride.” I also wore my grandma’s pearl and diamond earrings, the same ones my mom wore when she married my dad (something old and borrowed!). One of my favorite accessories had to be my Christian Louboutin white satin peep-toe heels with blue soles (something blue!). Of course my dad almost had a heart attack when he saw the price, but after a lot of begging and a few tears (and un-kept promises to dye them black and wear them again), they were mine! I also loved every detail of my dress- the fitted bodice, mermaid-like silhouette and silk peonies surrounding the bottom (something new). It was exactly my style and inspired our fashion-forward, avant-garde reception décor.

 I’m not big on color, so we decided to go with a glamorous, all-white look with platinum accents. I wanted people to walk into the room and be speechless. For the flowers, I wanted something different and over the top. I also wanted one long table so all the guests could sit together. We rented funky chairs for the guests and oversized end chairs for our dads at the head of the table. We worked with the staff at Pelican Hill to create a fancy, five-course dinner menu followed by delicious wedding cake and a self-serve gelato station for dessert (we love ice cream!).

 My family and friends all love to dance, so I wanted to do a reception wardrobe change into a shorter dress so I could really show off my dancing skills (jk). I would definitely recommend changing if your wedding dress is at all inhibiting, because I was much more comfortable…and any excuse to buy another dress is a good one! The piano player was a great option for our small number of guests, and I could tell from our pictures that everyone had a great time dancing!

 The entire evening was exactly what we had hoped to achieve…a beautiful, breath-taking setting that reflected our personalities where our family and close friends could share this amazing time in our lives with us. I had to put a lot of trust in others since I was planning my wedding from afar, but everything turned out even better than I could have hoped thanks to my wedding coordinator and all the vendors she recommended, and the staff at Pelican Hill. Our absolutely wonderful photographers captured every moment of this perfect occasion, so we can relive the day as many times as we want!
